The 2022 Annual Combined Meeting of Professional Geologists of Indiana and Indiana Geologists will be held Wednesday, November 9 at the Northside Event and Social Club, formerly the Knights of Columbus, located at 2100 E 71st St, Indianapolis, IN 46220. The club is on the northside of 71st just west of Keystone Avenue and there is ample free parking.
The meeting Doors open at 5pm for early check-in, social hour, and a chance to pay dues for both groups. The meeting will start after 6pm with introductions of PGI board candidates, followed by a buffet dinner and voting. After dinner and announcements, the meeting will conclude with a Keynote Address by Indiana State Geologist Dr. Todd Thompson of the Indiana Geological and Water Survey (IGWS). Dr. Thompson will review current research activities at the IGWS, the implementation and ramifications of SEA 278 passed this year which sets up a new IGWS Advisory Council and a new focus on water and energy issues, as well as Continuing Education.
RSVPs and payment in advance are needed so we have a dinner for you. The inclusive cost with tax and gratuity for a two-entrée buffet with a chicken dish and vegetarian lasagna, sides and nonalcoholic drinks is $35. There will be a cash bar.
MEETING IS IN-PERSON ONLY so plan to attend and visit and hob nob with old and new friends. Late arrivals by those who have paid are welcome, but you might miss dinner. Walk-ins are welcome, but we are unsure of dinners being available. Go to the membership page on the PGI website to confirm your attendance and also pay 2023 dues.
