Our Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Jack Wittman, Vice President of Eastern Water for Interra and who is domiciled with the Bloomington office. Dr. Wittman and Interra have long been involved in groundwater resources investigations throughout the USA and here in Indiana. In the past few years Dr. Wittman and Interra have conducted statewide reviews of groundwater availability and usage for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce resulting in an initial 2020 report with a 2024 update. Dr. Wittman has also worked with the Indiana Finance Authority on multiple studies looking at water supply infrastructure across Indiana for many years. Additionally, Interra conducted extensive exploration, drilling, testing and other reviews in 2023 of the Wabash River aquifers in the Lafayette area related to proposed large scale withdrawal anticipated for the LEAP Project near Lebanon. He is often called upon by legislators and agency executives for his insights and suggestions.
