The second part of this webinar series will cover the analysis of metals at even lower concentration levels using ICP-MS in environmental samples. We will also include a discussion on the analysis of trace metals using interference reduction technology for challenging environmental samples including ICP-KED-MS (ICP-Kinetic Energy Discrimination- MS) and ICP-QQQ (ICP-Triple Quadrupole). Lastly, we will discuss newer sample introduction techniques such as hydride generation as well as online chelation for seawater sample analysis using EPA Method 1640.
Topics which will be covered:
• General Overview of analytical techniques for metals analysis
• Pros and Cons of instrumental techniques
• Trace level metals analytical approaches for fresh, brackish, salt and hypersaline waters
• Review of the EPA methods (SW-846 Methods & EPA Office of Water Methods)
