Over the past decade, interest in using passive sorbent samplers to measure VOCs in indoor air and soil gas has increased significantly with a growing number of projects relying on passive samplers to support vapor intrusion investigations. While field deployment of passive sorbent samplers is straightforward and largely immune to missteps, developing a project plan using passive samplers can be overwhelming due to unfamiliarity with the technology and concern about regulatory acceptance.
